There are 332+ islands within the limits of Fiji, and around 110 of the islands are permanently inhabited. The total land area of Fiji, including more than 500 islets, is around 18,300 square kilometers. The region that Fiji falls in is called the Melanesia, which contains 3 other countries, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands.
