Where is Ibiza?

Ibiza is known the world over, famous for its party culture and fun sites, but if you were to ask “where is Ibiza”, you’d be surprised by how many people have no clue as to its location. It’s similar to Cancun in that way, that people know the city but not the places around it. Ibiza is a beautiful Island in Spain. The actual name of the city itself isn’t Ibiza though; it is the name of the island within which are multiple cities. The most famous of these is the Ibiza Town, but the other cities on the island are beautiful as well. Sant Antoni de Portmany and Santa Eulària des Riu both are well worth a visit if you have the time. There are also some great UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the island too.

Where is Ibiza Geographically? Ibiza is a rock island, located on the Mediterranean Sea. It comes under the Balearic Islands, which is an autonomous region within Spain. There are more than 50 islands included in the community, although most of them are uninhabited. The distance between Ibiza and Valencia is about 150 kilometers.
The biggest reason that people know about Ibiza all over the world is its legendary nightlife. You can listen to references to Ibiza everywhere, from the biggest pop starts to rappers. Everyone knows that Ibiza has a summer long party happening in the town during summertime, and it attracts some of the best artists and DJs from all over the world. The party takes place around 2 towns; there are many nightclubs and private parties as well, but sometimes, it feels like the whole town is partying.

Everywhere you go you will see people enjoying and partying and listen to great music playing. Ibiza became the center of EDM music in the world, and to this day, the biggest EDM stars make sure they have a presence in Ibiza. EDM isn’t the only active genre here though; there is also a great rock music festival here which attracts some of the biggest rock bands in the world. If you want to get an idea about how great the nightlife is, then you should see the nightclub closing times. The government was concerned that things were getting too rowdy, thus being forced to order the nightclubs to close by 6am. When 6am is an early closing time for a nightclub, you know the people are serious about partying.
