A trip to United Arab Emirates without checking out the desert is a trip wasted. Steer your ride south and west of Abu Dhabi and enter Al-Gharbia, a massive stretch of sand and stone. Admire the glistening colors of shifting sand dunes in varying shades of cinnamon and apricot that seem to go on for miles afar. Going further ahead, you will come across the Liwa Oasis, 250 km south of Abu Dhabi. Villages and settlements populate the area spanning some 150 km.
